Purdue’s outstanding baseball team showed their true abilities this past weekend by sweeping the Indiana Hoosiers (aka, Loosiers), in their home series. The Boilers couldn’t have done it without sophomore star Perkins and his many homeruns. Red Shirt Junior Cal Gunter also proved himself a great pitcher in the series by pitching outstandingly on Friday as well as Sunday.
The sweep of the Hoosiers solidified the Boilers number 1 ranking in the Big Ten standings. Despite the loss of their first baseman Ryan Bridges, it looks like the Boilers are still able to play aggressively and maintain their #1 ranking. Boiler Up!
